Founded more than 30 years ago, JWR partnered with us to evolve its brand for a new generation of leadership and growth without losing the trust and reputation built over decades. The result is a cohesive brand system—rooted in joy, relationship, and thoughtful craft—that honors where JWR has been while giving the firm a clear, confident expression for where it’s going next.
The Fingerprint
One step in my process that I like to showcase is the foundation words. It’s always an illuminating exercise that helps us hone in on a few specific elements and see how they overlap to create something unique. I think of it almost like a brand’s fingerprint—no two are exactly alike, and it’s the combination that creates something real, identifiable, and distinctly their own.
The Big Idea
Joyful by Design
“Joy begins with gratitude—for the work we get to do, the craft we get to practice, and the people we get to do it with. It isn’t simply the outcome of meaningful work. It’s the way we choose to approach it.”

The Logo
The JWR logotype is intentionally simple. Every proportion and space has been carefully considered, creating a mark that feels both structural and refined. It’s a reflection of how JWR approaches its own work—thoughtful, well-crafted, and made to last.
Brand equity through design
We evolved the logo just enough to signal that something new is happening. Bold enough to turn heads, familiar enough that nobody questions whether it's still JWR.
Visual System.
—type / color / imagery / design system
Hand-drawn sketches bring a human quality to the visual system, adding warmth, interest, and distinction. They connect the brand directly to JWR’s creative process and become a recognizable part of how it shows up.
A flexible system of lines and dash marks gives JWR an ownable and repeatable way to organize content. It creates consistency across the brand without making every application look the same.
